These are favorites at my house.  They seem to disappear just about as fast as I can make them.

French Christmas Cookies     french christmas cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 2 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips

Topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips, melted

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.  In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.  Beat in the milk.  Gradually beat in the graham cracker crumbs into the  creamed mixture.  Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips.
  2. Fill miniature foil muffin liners three-fourths full.  Place 1 inch apart in 15 x 10 x 1 baking pans.  Bake 10-12 minutes or until set.  Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
  3. Drizzle with melted milk chocolate; let stand until set.  Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Makes about 9 dozen cookies.
